As Star Plus' show Faltu is coming to an abrupt end, India Forums got in touch with Aakash Ahuja, the actor who played and won hearts with his stint as Ayaan in the show. In this exclusive chat with us, Aakash Ahuja spilt the beans on his journey in the show. The actor also went ahead to share his opinions on the show being pulled down by the channel and if he believes it happened because their production house was a relatively smaller one.
After so much anticipation of the show going off air or receiving an extension, the show is now finally going off air. What are the emotions you are experiencing at this moment?
See, there is no point in feeling disappointed now. The last time I spoke to you, I told you it was disappointing when I first heard of this news, and there is no doubt about it. Keep in mind we have been on the top of the TRP charts with merit. Aisa nahi ki humara producer bahut bade hai. There are add-ons like these, nah? Well, we did not have any such add-on. It was only our story, and the audience, too, enjoyed it, which kept us going.

All your fans have been stating this one thing that the show was pulled down because your show did not belong to a bigger production house, the channel has decided to pull the plug because they want to give the slot to a bigger production house. There were other shows that were underperforming, but your show was chosen to be off air. What is your take on it?
Firstly, we never underperformed, even during the IPL too. Our contemporaries that have been on air for the past 4-5 years, we were still beating them every week. So that is a different point altogether. Hard work never goes to waste. We worked with all honesty, and the audience has been with us. That is our trophy. We do not need validation from anybody else. And if you talk about the production house that the channel decided to axe our show because of a bigger production house, I think there are sensible people in the channel, and they must have a better reason. I do not think our show is going off the air because of a bigger production house because the channel, too, was earning out of us if we were getting good numbers. So I believe they must have a better reason, this definitely is not the reason.
What is it that you are going to miss the most about shooting for Faltu?
I am going to miss the whole environment in general. I will miss Niharika and a couple of other people who I shared a great bond with.
What will you miss the most about the show? Let us know in the comments below.

This is really sad. The show was doing well, still couldn't air for a year also.
