We are all very happy : Vicky Kaushal's father Sham Kaushal on his son's wedding

After his son, Vicky Kaushal tied the knot with ladylove Katrina Kaif, Sham Kaushal's happiness knew no bounds.

The Bollywood action and stunt director was greeted by shutterbugs at the airport, where he didn't just personally hand out sweet boxes but also thanked the media and all the fans for their love and blessings.

"Muh meetha kar lena, achi baat hai," Kaushal said as he handed out a box of sweets that was also distributed to the wedding guests.

When asked about his son the Uri actor and new daughter-in-law, Vicky's father said to the media,

"Thank you all for coming, it has been such a pleasure to meet you all. Your blessings are with us. We are all very happy."

The proud father also took to his Instagram handle to post a special message for the newlyweds. Sharing a happy picture of the bride and groom from the wedding ceremony, he wrote, 

"SHUKAR RAB DA, SHUKAR SAB DA. Feeling so happy and blessed as a father. May God’s blessings be always with the newlyweds. Gratitude."

The Sooryavanshi actress and her husband Vicky set social media ablaze when they released their official wedding photos on Thursday. 

The star couple's post announcing their wedding got 10 million likes on Instagram, which is currently the highest for any Bollywood celebrity wedding post.

Kat hit the 10 million mark in under 24 hours of sharing the post online. Meanwhile, Vicky got an impressive 6.5 million likes for his post.

The couple said in a joint statement,

"Only love and gratitude in our hearts for everything that brought us to this moment. Seeking all your love and blessings as we begin this new journey together".

While their guests returned home on Friday evening, Kat and Vicky slipped off the radar. The couple was seen catching a helicopter and then a private jet out of Jaipur. 

On their arrival in Mumbai, the two are expected to go to their plush new Juhu residence.
