Watchout BCL and CCL, here come the Daring Dozens!

We have seen the TV and Bollywood celebs coming together through BCL and CCL, forming teams and pitting against one another in the country's most enjoyed game - Cricket!

Keeping the spirit alive, actor Anupam Bhattacharya along with other popular TV stars has initiated Daring Dozens, a cricket league in association with Pawsitive Farm Sanctuary, a foundation catering to the welfare of dogs. 

The league is scheduled to launch by the end of April and will see participants of the television and film fraternity. The net sessions for the matches begun today early morning.

Some actors who will battle it out on the sports ground are Anupam Bhattacharya, Varun Badola, Karan Wahi, Himanshoo Malhotra, Puneet Sachdev, Amit Sareen, Armaan Kohli, Maninder, Balraj Siyal, Puneet Panjwani and some new faces in the industry like Karan Ambardar, Abhishek Kapoor, Shray Rai Tiwary, Rohit Kukreja, Mudasir Bhat, Shiv Om Narayan, Rakshit Pant and Dillzan Wadia. 

Popular TV actor Ayub Khan has been roped in as the team ambassador of Daring Dozens. 

Shedding some light on the initiative, Anupam shared, "We are honored to be associated with Pawsitive Farm Sanctuary for a noble cause of providing the stray animals a home in a two-acre green farm with solar lighting and farming, where they can play and grow old in peace. The farm will also grow to house more cats and dogs besides having a goshala that helps animals saved from slaughter. I would particularly like to thank Mr. Sunil Kharbanda, a non-actor who has helped us materialize our goal. Our purpose is to make this the best celebrity cricket team which is houses popular faces and talent of playing the coveted sport."

When quizzed about naming the league as Daring Dozen, the actor averred, "Well 'Daring' because this occasion will bringing all the stars under one roof and will push them to break out of the comfort zone by playing the grueling sport! Moreover, it makes us realize that we have accomplished the dream of making our league the biggest celebrity team. Speaking about 'Dozen', a cricket team normality consists of 11 players and a substitute (12th man). We have counted the substitute too here (smiles)."
