How is your experience entering an ongoing show that has already set the bar high?
So definitely, at the beginning, there were a lot of thoughts lingering around as it is a big, popular show, and I have to make an entry and perform well. Plus, working with senior actors, I was indeed nervous, but the environment was so friendly that they greeted me well. I have a prior connection with Gaurav Bhaiya (Anuj), Sagar (Samar), and Nishi (Dimpy), and they gave me a warm welcome. Even Rupali Ma'am (Anupama) is very sweet. Everybody on the set was so welcoming that all my nervousness was swept away, and remarkably, everything started running smoothly right from the first day. It's now been around 15-20 days since I began shooting, and I am delighted.
It's said that actors prepare a lot to delve deep into the character, so what did you do to play the character 'Romil'?
Actually, there was no need for any special preparation; as the last show I did, 'Tera Yaar Hoon Main' had a somewhat similar character, 'cranky teenager', but here the story is different. Romil's mom and dad leave him at his nani's place, due to which he has to endure a tough life. The character was the same, so I had to pick up the tempo and the zone. During the initial 1/2 days, I did observe a lot; even our Director Sir helped me, and it felt so easy once I got into the flow. Now I feel good, and it's effortless because once you lift the character, everything comes out naturally.
If you were Romil, what would you do to help Pakhi? As in the ongoing track, we can see your growing connection.
Certainly, you'll get to know in the upcoming episode of the serial as there is a lot of khatarnaak twist and turns coming your way, but if I were Romil, then I wouldn't force my words on her, but instead, I would have shown her the truth. I would bring Adhik's true face in front of Pakhi. For instance, I would do something so that Pakhi could see that Adhik doesn't care for her and everyone else cares for her. I mean, in a situation wherein Pakhi needs help, and Adhik wouldn't be there, then only she will understand that when there was a need, he wasn't there, but instead, the rest of the family was there, so this would be a way to make Pakhi realise that we are right.
On the growing bond between Pakhi and Romil, the actor added, "In the recent track, they both are sharing a beautiful bond. In an episode, there was some nok- jhok and mostly in the entire house, Romil talks with Pakhi only. So, I think the bond should slowly and steadily grow over time. I don't know if it's a Sister-brother bond or friendship, but there will be something that would be the best."
Talking about the connection, how is your off-screen bonding with everyone?
Yaar! In the last show, 'Tera Yaar Hoon Main', we had Sagar and Nishi both, so Sagar is my 'chaddi-buddy yaar', and now, in our leisure time, we play games in the room with him. Even Muskan (Pakhi) is very sweet. From the day we met, we became very good friends, and whenever Muskan, Adhik and I are together, we do masti and talk a lot. Talking about Gaurav (Anuj), then, he is entertaining. Be it a serious or emotional scene, he will be in a fun mood and keep everyone happy. If someone's day is going good or bad, he takes it on point and is always ready for action. Rupali Ma'am is very sweet and very hardworking. Whenever I see her working hard, I'm always in shock that after so many scenes, lines and hard work, she is calm and never tensed or panicked. So, hats off to her; she is superb. In such a short span of time, I have created a beautiful bond with everyone because everyone is so good. So, our masti is full-on in the set.
Romil, the character, has been fuming throughout the show with his insolence. He is the one who has taken the Kapadia house on his head, be it through his attitude, his tit-for-tat reply to Barkha, or his alcohol party.
