TellyBuzz was the first to break the news of Rajan Shahi's new show for Star One after its revamp which was tentatively titled Amrit Dhara. The show which is now renamed as Amrit Manthan with a story which will deal with the life of two sisters and their family.

We had also reported that Adaaa Khan and Waseem Mushtaq will play the main leads in the show.

The most recent development we hear is that Vikram Kapadia who portrayed a prominent role in Star Plus' K Street Pali Hill and Nandita Puri who was seen in Zee TV's Maayka - Saath Zindagi Bhar Ka will play important characters in Amrit Manthan.

A source says, "Vikram and Nandita will be essaying parents to the female leads in the show."

Vikram Kapadia has also worked for the screenplay in Sony TV's popular shows by YRF, Khhote Sikkey and Kismat.

When TellyBuzz contacted Vikram, he said, "Yes, I am playing an important character in the show, but I cannot reveal anything further."

We tried to contact Producer Rajan Shahi, but he wished not to comment.

We also hear that the shoot of the show will start by mid August.

gong 2 miss star1 alot der r sooo many channels haveng des saas bahu type of serialz but star1 was dh only 1 which alwayz came up with youth showz all its serialz frm remix 2 pkyek rockzzz ppl apreciated dem n luved dem alot

feels bad for all the upcoming shows of star one. bcoz nothing will take star one to its earlier position n thats no. 1 bcoz there is no DILL MILL GAYYE now.

i luv star one because of geet... n youth oriented shows but now it seems that they r turning it into a big flop channel.. i dont wanna see geet to end! plzzz dont end geet.. its the part of our lives..

This channel is gonna be such a biggg flop !!
It'll compete with channels like DD and Surya tv !!
Star network is gonna pay for it by shutting da channel in 3 months !!

Geet and PKYEK are the only shows which majority of young people like to watch.I thot this vl be the start of a new trend.But it seems that evrything is now back to square one.STAR ONE in its current state is better.Only thing is they need to increase their reach.There are many places where people watch the saas-bahu sagas of prominent channels just bcoz the cable operators dont provide SO.I personally know many friends who cry for SO due to its variety. Atleast dont end Geet and PKYEK...
