Vikkas Manaktala on facing 'an emotionally taxing phase' as his family was hit by COVID-19

Actor Vikkas Manaktala and wife Guunjan Walia recently flew down to his hometown Delhi to be by his family's side as they are facing a tough time where four members of his family for COVID-19.

Talking about it with ETimes TV, Manaktala said, “My parents, sister (Megha) and our house help tested positive on April 22 and we flew to Delhi on the following day. I am grateful to God that we could reach here on time to take care of them. They are recovering well. But this phase is emotionally taxing and mentally exhausting.”

He added, “We have our daily dose of multivitamins, inhale steam and gargle at frequent intervals. We’re geared with masks, face shields and gloves throughout in a bid to protect ourselves to be able to take extra care of everyone in the family. All of them are separately quarantined and maintain complete discipline towards the healing process. My younger sister Simmi, cousin (Dr Chetna Manaktala), Guunjan and I have divided duties to ensure each family member is given adequate medication, food and care for a speedy recovery.”

We certainly hope the same that the entire family recovers at the soonest and is all well again indeed.
