Actor Vijay Raaz recently addressed his unexpected exit from the much-anticipated film Son of Sardaar 2, clarifying that the allegations against him are untrue. Raaz, who was initially cast in a crucial role, shared that he was asked to leave the project on the very first day of shooting in Scotland, despite prior agreements.
Raaz explained that the producers claimed he was removed due to his behavior on set, including demands for "bigger rooms, a vanity van," and allegedly overcharging for spot boys. However, Raaz firmly denied these accusations, stating, "It's all a lie. All these discussions are done before the actor reaches the set. Them mentioning it now in itself means there is something fishy. All this was decided, which is why I went all the way to Scotland for the film's shoot. Vahaan jaake thodi na final karenge yeh sab!"
According to Raaz, he had requested a larger room due to his yoga practice, which requires more space than a typical hotel room offers. "I told them that my room is congested, I do yoga so I need some space apart from the bed. Yeh main aur kisse kahunga, executive producer se hi bolunga na?" Raaz noted that the production team had agreed to discuss the issue the following day, and everything seemed fine when he was informed that his shoot would start in a few hours.
However, shortly after, Raaz was informed by producer Kumar Mangat Pathak that he was no longer required for the film. Raaz expressed his surprise, saying, "The next morning, I went to the set, Kumar Mangat ji aur Ravi Kishan aaye aur van mein baithe. Everything seemed fine until they suddenly told me, 'aap chale jaaiye'. I can't force someone to keep me on; I'm not a junior artist. I've been working for decades."
Raaz speculated that his removal might be connected to an interaction, or lack thereof, with the film's lead actor, Ajay Devgn. "I was standing with people at one place, and saw Ajay ji talking to someone. I thought I would go and meet him... Aadhe ghante baad kya ho gaya. Kuchh toh hua hoga na?"
Meanwhile, Kumar Mangat Pathak confirmed that Raaz was removed due to his demands and behavior on set. Raaz’s account, however, paints a different picture, raising questions about what truly happened behind the scenes.
