Vijay extends his congratulations to IC 814 director Anubhav for its success, says, "aapko SUPERHIT hua hai"

Vijay Varma, known for his role in Anubhav Sinha's series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, portrays the character of Captain Sharan Dev, inspired by the courageous pilot Captain Devi Sharan involved in the real-life 1999 hijacking of Indian Airlines flight IC 814. As the series gains attention, Vijay recently likened its success to a 'box-office Tsunami' on social media. He also praised director Anubhav Sinha for the tremendous success of the 'superhit' series.

Recently, Vijay Varma posted a photo on Instagram showcasing his appearance from the show, IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack. In the picture, Vijay exudes a pilot's charm, standing confidently in his uniform with a parked plane in the background. His attire consists of a black uniform adorned with distinctive yellow stripes on the cuffs and front buttons, complemented by a pair of stylish sunglasses

In his post, Vijay Varma shared the news of IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack securing the top position among the must-watch streaming originals in India. Excited to share this achievement with his fans, the actor wrote a detailed message expressing gratitude for the series' successful reception.

He expressed his gratitude to the viewers for watching his performance in the series. Additionally, Vijay tagged Anubhav Sinha, extending his congratulations for the tremendous success of the "superhit" show.

Director Anubhav Sinha dropped a reply in the comment section. "Aur aapko zindabad hua hai," Sinha wrote. Rajkummar Rao also commented on his post. "It’s a Tsunami brother and you are the silent toofan," read the comment. 

IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack hit the screens on August 29 this year, featuring stellar performances from Manoj Pahwa, Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur, and Patralekhaa alongside Vijay Varma.
