Patralekhaa expresses frustration on being called as Rajkummar Rao’s wife: 'I really hate it, feel small…'

Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa are undeniably one of the most beloved couples in the industry. Their genuine chemistry and affection are adored by their fans. Recently, Patralekhaa voiced her strong dislike for being identified solely as "Rajkummar Rao's wife," revealing her frustration with this constant association. In an interview with Galatta India, she shared her feelings, stating, "I really hate it… I detest it, and I feel very small." She emphasized her individual identity, explaining, "Kyunki mera ek naam hai… mera ek astitva hai," which translates to "Because I have a name… I have an identity," highlighting her desire to be recognized for her own accomplishments.

Despite receiving acclaim for her work, including her performance in Phule, Patralekhaa admitted that her career journey has been challenging. She noted that many people mistakenly believe her path has been effortless due to her relationship with a famous actor.

Patralekhaa voiced her strong disapproval of such conduct, asserting that she would not engage with such propositions, considering them beneath her. She has always maintained a clear separation between her professional life and Rajkummar's, declining to involve him in projects presented with hidden agendas.

She also appealed to the media and the industry, asking them to acknowledge her as an individual and not reduce her to a mere association. She emphasized her discomfort with being viewed in this way and her commitment to resisting it.

In her career, Patralekhaa has made considerable progress with impactful projects that highlight her versatility and dedication to storytelling. In 2025, she portrayed Savitribai Phule in the biographical film Phule, directed by Ananth Mahadevan.
