Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan's 'Zara Hatke Zara Bachke' surpasses 'Adipurush' on Monday

Monday proved to be an eventful day at the box office, surprising audiences with unexpected twists. In a surprising turn of events, Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan's unconventional film, "Zara Hatke Zara Bachke," outperformed the star-studded extravaganza "Adipurush" on their respective fourth and second Mondays. 

"Adipurush" managed to collect Rs 85 lakhs on its 11th day, whereas "Zara Hatke Zara Bachke" raked in Rs 90 lakhs on its 25th day. This indicates the contrasting fate of the two films. Projecting ahead, "Adipurush" is estimated to settle with a cumulative Hindi nett collection of approximately Rs 130-132 crores in India, while "Zara Hatke Zara Bachke" is expected to cross the Rs 85 crore mark. What's noteworthy is that the Vicky-Sara starrer achieved this feat with a fraction of the budget allocated to "Adipurush."

"Adipurush" undoubtedly generated immense anticipation as one of the most awaited Indian films of 2023. However, the film failed to captivate the audience's hearts, experiencing a significant drop in collections during its second week. The expected decline in the film's second-week collections is approximately 90% compared to its opening week. 

On the other hand, "Zara Hatke Zara Bachke" initially failed to generate much excitement within the trade circles upon its announcement. Nevertheless, the film defied expectations with its strong theatrical performance, showcasing remarkable longevity in terms of box office numbers.
