Anita Hassanandani, currently seen as Shagun in Star Plus' Ye Hai Mohobbatein says,
Well I really love playing cards so I am obviously going to play cards. This is my second Diwali post wedding. I got married just before Diwali last year. There will be a small Puja and I will visit the nearby temple with my mother on this very auspicious day. Later in the evening, all of us will go out for dinner. As far as decorations are concerned, pretty candles, diyas, lighting is something I do but when it comes to burning crackers, I avoid. Not burning crackers will help avoid noise pollution and air pollution too. Animals especially get extremely scared of the noise; I know it because I have a pet at home. So before bursting crackers, we should do think about them. Little for fun is okay but we should not over do it.
Thank you all for all the love and loving me as Shagun and accepting me in a negative role after doing a positive role. I wish you both a very happy Diwali.
I am in Delhi this Diwali. My dad is in Delhi and my mother keeps traveling between Jammu and Delhi. I have taken a day off and me and my wife will go to Delhi and spend some family time together. One tradition that we follow every year on Diwali is we have a small Puja but more than that a lot of my family lives in Delhi so we just sit together in the drawing room and make fun of each other. That is like a family tradition; we just sit around and pull each other's legs. I am looking forward to the laughter session this time too.
My parents are here on this Diwali so I am visiting them. I might just visit some of my close friends after that. I like cooking so yes I have cooked some delicacies this Diwali and making rangolis is something that I have been doing every year and this year too I will make. So yes, I am looking forward to this special day.
My Diwali actually started last week itself (chuckles). Every night all my friends meet up and we play cards. I am surviving just on three hours of sleep. I reach home at 5:00 am in the morning, sleep and wake up at 8:00 am in the morning and get ready for shoot. This is what Diwali is to me. But along with this, family of course means a lot to me. So it is going to be a complete mixture and misshrun of TV, non-TV friends, family and kids. All of us just have a blast together.
Yes, I do like making rangolis and decorating the house. Not that I am very goiod with making rangolis but I have give a title to me 'Jack of all and master of none'. I like the fact that I can make everything. Every year I try to make better than what I made the previous year. I also make sure which curtains are to be put up, which diyas and which cushions are to be placed and where. So I am a home maker too.
TellyBuzz wishes all its viewers a Happy Diwali and a Prosperous New Year!!
