Salman Khan, one of Bollywood's most powerful figures, reportedly sparked a feud with Arijit Singh in 2014 during an award ceremony. The clash began when Singh dozed off while Khan was hosting, prompting the star's anger. When questioned about it, Arijit responded with, "Aap logo ne sula diya," further irritating the actor. Despite Singh's multiple apologies, the rift allegedly led to his quiet boycott from Bollywood.
Abhijeet Bhattacharya Issues a Bold Challenge to Salman Khan
In a past interview with India Today, Abhijeet Bhattacharya criticized Bollywood actors who denounce terrorism yet remain silent on Pakistan, labeling them as “diplomatic.” He also took aim at the “superstars” of Bollywood, including “Johar,” “Bhatt,” and the “Khans,” for allowing Pakistani artists to collaborate in India.
Abhijeet said, "Aapko maloom hai sabse dukh, sabse gandagi kya hui? Ek singer ubhar raha hai desh ka bada, aapne uska gana Pakistani se dub kara diya? Salman Khan ne… sochiye! Aur wo subah shaam social media pe hath pao jod raha hai. Unko kya diya humare desh ke superstar ne? Sirf uska hi nahi, Sonu Nigam ka bhi. Khada kon hua unke sath? Sirf mai".
Abhijeet Bhattacharya alleged that Salman Khan intentionally collaborated with Pakistani artists to build a fanbase in Pakistan by having them dub songs of Arijit Singh and Sonu Nigam. He provocatively challenged the Tiger 3 actor, stating, “Himmat hai toh ek baar mujhe gavayo and dub karke dikhao mera gana kisi Pakistani se.”
