There is a lot of connectivity between me and Abeer: Pearl V Puri

It wasn't a smooth journey from his hometown to Mumbai for actor Pearl V Puri, who is all set to debut as a lead actor with Saurabh Tewari's much awaited show Phir Bhi Na Maane..Badtameez Dil on Star Plus.

Pearl hails from Agra and he came down to Mumbai with a dream to become an actor. Crossing so many hurdles, he has reached here and will soon be seen playing the main lead character Abeer on Star Plus' upcoming show Phir Bhi Na Maane..Badtameez Dil.

In a candid chat with Pearl, we learned more about his journey so far, his character on the show and much more.

Talking about his journey from his hometown Agra to Mumbai, he said, "Its been a long journey. I had a lot of family issues because of which I had to go back there several times. So many things affected me in this journey but now all is well at the end and I am happy now."

"My family is very happy to see me here now. My Mom is very happy as she wanted me to do anything that I wish to do in life but my Dad was against it and he wanted me to come back to home," he added.

When we asked Pearl to describe his role on the show, he said, "I am playing the character of Abeer on the show who is a happy go lucky guy. He is good at heart and tries to help everyone. He is little careless at times. He forgets things and doesn't understand emotions. He is childish at times. Music is Abeer's life and I can totally connect myself to Abeer at this point as even I cannot live without music. I can also compose music as well as sing songs like Abeer does. Abeer's dad wants him to get into his business while Abeer wants to fly high in the world of music just like I want to do something in the field of acting whereas my dad is against it. So, there is a lot of connectivity between both of us. When Saurabh sir narrated me this role, I felt that this character has been written for me and I quickly decided to do it."  
 
The show being Pearl's first show, he is quite excited about it and has lots of plans to watch the first episode of the show with his team and have a blast. He shared, "I am very happy and excited as this is my first show. Saurabh sir is a great producer and he is very close to me now. I am bit nervous too because everything to me is new. We will have a blast the day, our first episode will go on-air. We will party hard like we did the day when our promo was released. We watched it with our entire unit and had a blast."

Certainly, Pearl is also coming across a lot of challenges while doing the show but he is ready for it as a learner. He said, "There are a lot of challenges as I am new. I think I am a learner and I should keep learning things from everyone. Its a learning phase of my life and I will keep learning things. Since past few months, I have been working hard. I have learnt to play guitar for the show. So far I have got lots of appreciation from the people for the promos. I will try my best to do good by working hard. Please keep supporting."
