She is good looking. She is smart and an actor par excellence. She is none other than Sonali Bendre for Life OK's Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Ye in this exclusive chat with TellyBuzz, she speaks about her new endeavor in television, her excitement about the show having a unique storyline and more.

How excited and nervous you are to come up with a fiction show on television?

I am nervous and excited as well. Nervous because after many years I am coming with a fiction show on television. I am not facing the camera as Sonali but as a different character altogether. Since many years now, I have been judging reality shows where I used to speak as myself. But here in the show, I speak as a character and I am doing what is written for me and what that character requires me to do. It is different and interesting (smiles).

What was that one thing that made you opt for a fiction show like this?

I really liked the strength of the character. Normally strong characters that we see in fiction shows, they are made too much male like. I feel, the strength that a female possesses is very different. I am a woman, I know I am a very strong woman and I truly enjoy my feminism. I do not want to be male like. In this show, the woman is a woman and yet being strong. And this is what I feel is beautiful about this character.

Television is known for its long hours of shoot and tight schedules. Did you feel that same while shooting?

It is just hats off how people do television. It is really very tough to shoot for television. But our series is finite and we will be shooting for particular number of episodes only. The show will start at a point and it will end too at a point. So we do not have to go through that kind of stressful pressure. Definitely we are shooting for long hours but I am a part of a wonderful production house. My team has been very considerate about what my timings will be.

Lastly, any message to your fans...

Well, I am really happy to hear that all of you are very excited about me coming on television with this fiction show. I really hope I live up to everyone's expectation. And yes, I will be very interested in knowing all the feedback that you give me. I am not that techno savvy; I need somebody to give the messages but I am going to see to it that I follow it and get all your messages. Thank you so much for all your support.
