All of us have grown up on the cliche - change is the only constant. Fortunately or unfortunately, that holds true in every scenario of life. Worry you not, because this is no philosophical piece which you may not quite be in the mood of right now. Times, generation and every factor otherwise is changing at the speed of a cheetah and while one would love to catch hold of it and pause for a moment, that won't happen.
Some changes make you happy while some don't. Here, we are going to talk about the welcome change that Indian TV is witnessing in terms of the next generation establishing a name for themselves in the big league.
The veterans are already popular stars and are going nowhere; we wouldn't want them to also. But the 'new ones', who were termed to be the future has now become the today of Indian TV and we couldn't be happier about that.
From Child Stars To Teenagers
There are many of us out there who have watched these now-superstars as child actors in a number of shows several years ago. They arrived on the scene as child artists already making a mark. But that has been the case for all these years too. So, what changed? The change happened because these child artists decided to continue their career in the entertainment industry upon growing up.
Back in the time, we witnessed several child actors either returning to acting after a long hiatus or never returning at all. But these child stars never left and went on to quite literally grow up in front of us. That gives them the edge of acceptance in the minds and hearts of viewers without much effort.
Edge Of Social Media

Actors like Anushka Sen, Aashika Bhatia, Ritika Badlani and several others are what we call - Social Media Influencers along with being actors. Not only do they understand the medium a lot better but also juggle it with their acting projects with finesse.
The List Is Huge And Ever-Growing
To name a few, actors like Jannat Zubair Rahmani, Avneet Kaur, Aashika Bhatia, Ashnoor Kaur, Ritika Badlani, Anushka Sen, Reem Sheikh, and Siddharth Nigam are some of the names who not only have a rating grabber A-lister show but also have them playing the lead role in it. Be it Ashnoor with Patiala Babes, Reem with Tujhse Hai Raabta, Avneet, and Siddharth with Aladdin Naam Toh Suna Hoga or Anushka Sen with the upcoming Khoob Ladi Mardaani Jhansi Ki Rani; the generation next currently occupied a large chunk of general entertainment viewing.
The Acceptance Is Overwhelming
Not many would have placed their bets on teenagers taking over characters which are adults initially. But everything has a start and this can be credited to actress Avika Gor. Wondering why? A little Avika made her debut with the record-breaking Balika Vadhu back then, but later in her teenage days, she went on to take Sasural Simar Ka. In that show, she played an adult in spite of being very young and while some gave it a lot of flak, the same resonated with many. Now, we are in the times where several teenagers have not only taken up adult characters but play them with full dedication and go on to be accepted. How right or wrong it is? That may have its own debaters there.
It Will Only Grow
The fact that these teenagers have such wide reach and leading TV shows to themselves is the indicator that not only are times changing but also how this will grow. Who knows, the little stars on your TV screens right now are the superstars of tomorrow!

I wish this trend had never come into picture in the first place! Doing daily soaps as child actors was bad enough that now we see teens stepping into the shoes of adults to play grown ups. Doing dailies as kids takes away their time from school and now they barely focus on completing their education. Y do their parents even allow them? At least they can finish their graduation before taking up a show as a lead. This will not only ensure they are mature enough to play the characters but also they can complete their education.
