The Promising, Unpromising & Surprise Contestants of 'Bigg Boss 15'

As expected, Bigg Boss 15 has begun with a bang. With a new concept of incorporating the jungle theme in the house, it cannot be denied that the design and decor of the house is probably one of the best we have seen.

But that may or may not mean that even the contestants will be as good as you would imagine. After watching the two episodes of Bigg Boss 15 premiere, here's analysing the contestants who seem promising, unpromising and potentially surprise packages of this season.

Surprise Packages

Umar Riaz

Umar Riaz seems to be one of those contestants who can be a surprise package. In a mere two episodes, he has managed to grab eyeballs - first with the saga between him, Ieshaan Sehgaal and Donal Bisht and then a war of words with Pratik Sehajpal. Even though the latter seem forced, Riaz can be a surprise but can also fade out if he doesn't live up to it considering he has a high order of brother Asim Riaz to follow.

Afsana Khan

From the looks of it, it didn't seem like Afsana Khan will make an impact right away but she did. Khan was fun and entertaining with the guys and rather brash with some ladies. The precap also showed a fight between her and Vidhi Pandya where she didn't hold up. Totally a surprise package but might also cross the line which is dangerous in Bigg Boss.

Meisha Iyer

Meisha Iyer seemed indifferent till a while but was rather sporting and fun when she was being teased around by other contestants for her previous connection with Sehajpal. However, with the latter being unhappy, she was actually quite mature in handling the matter. While she may not be flamboyant, Iyer might be a surprise ahead in the show.

Donal Bisht

Donal Bisht's stint in the first two days was a mixed bag . She seemed rather clueless initially and not fun entirely but she did take a stand when she didn't agree with the task Mouni Roy had everyone doing. Eventually she seems opinionated and also making an attempt to be better.

Simba Nagpal

Coming to the unpromising contestants, it's fascinating how uneventful actor Simba Nagpal was. The man has done shows like Roadies and Splitsvilla earlier and should be equipped for Bigg Boss 15. But instead he seemed very ineffective. Maybe it's his strategy and might get better in the coming days but for now, he doesn't seem promising.

Vidhi Pandya

It isn't entirely a surprise that Vidhi Pandya is in this list. She has proclaimed herself how she might not be fit for the show and it seemed like it. The precap did show her having a fight with Khan but overall Pandya doesn't seem like a contestant who will last too long.

Sahil Shroff

Another unsurprising name in the list is actor and model Sahil Shroff. He is one of those contestants who had a calm demeanor and probably even rather shy about things which was evident in the two days. Shroff was barely visible and doesn't seem to be getting better unless he pulls off a Hiten Tejwani later.

Akasa Singh

Akasa Singh did seem rather flamboyant, opinionated and apt for the show while she was on the stage with host Salman Khan. But her two day stint was actually the exact opposite. She wasn't visible at all except for the Mouni Roy task.

Ieshaan Sehgaal

I almost went with putting Ieshaan Sehgaal in the surprise category. However, Sehgaal was actually rather good already in the first two days. Be it his interaction with Bisht or him putting forward his opinions and points and even being entertaining with Khan and the guys, Sehgaal made an instant impact. Being probably the most unknown name in the entire list of contestants, it was great to see him stand out. Will he become a Bigg Boss classic case? We'll have to wait and see.

Jay Bhanushali

Jay Bhanushali was instantly appealing. It seemed like he may be rather cautious initially but he was super fun while joking around with the other contestants and then even making some really good points in the Mouni Roy task when Nagpal marked on him. Bhanushali is promising and it helps that he's already popular enough.

Tejasswi Prakash

With Tejasswi Prakash, it seemed like so many other popular TV female actors in the past, she will be careful and hold back. On th contrary, she was her chirpy self and almost endlessly. She was like an energy live wire that didn't tire and also did a fine job being visible. Definitely promising.

Vishal Kotian

Another name who almost joined the surprise list but is a part of the promising list is actor Vishal Kotian. While the actor has done a lot of work on TV and in fact been in the industry for umpteen years, Kotian is still relatively unknown to many. But with the show, he has made a rollicking impact. He was fun, entertaining and even outspoken to an extent. He has also done a fine job with a segment-like thing of reporting BB news to the camera and seems very promising.

Karan Kundrra

Karan Kundrra is a man who needs no introduction. Not only has he spawned an amazing acting career but he is also a reality show legend. Kundrra knows the beat of how a reality show works and it seems amazing right away where he showed his fun, entertaining and also calm side when needed.
