The President of India wants to watch Talvar!

Talvar has been garnering appreciation and already looks like the best reviewed film of the year.

The movie has been creating news and has garnered the Presidents attention who has expressed his desire to watch the movie. 

The President's office recently got in touch with the director of Talvar, Meghna Gulzar requesting her to host a screening of her critically acclaimed film at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The screening is going to take place on 25th of this month and will be attended by the President along with the cast and crew of the film.

The movie before its release was premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and received a rousing response. Talvar is the first movie to show an upward trend in its box office numbers post a national holiday. 

The movie is based on the Noida Double Murder and showcases three detailed investigations conducted during the course of the case. 

Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Neeraj Kabi and Sohum Shah are seen playing pivotal roles in the movie. Talvar is produced by Vishal Bharadvaj and Junglee Pictures. 

Meghna Gulzar says, "It's an honour for us to host a screening for the President. We are looking forward to the screening and are obliged that the President has expressed his desire to watch our movie."
