Ishqbaaaz on Star Plus has now joined the list of shows that have taken the channel's branding 'Nayi Soch'  in the literal way. Off lately, the show's episodes have one by one started focusing on issues that the layman faces in his/her day to day life.

The show started their new journey with the issue of social media and its influence, then focused in how some of the current generation treats the elder members in their family to now superstitions. Very soon, the show will emphasize on the very globally accepted 'MeeToo' movement.

In a track telecast last week, we saw how social media helped Omkara (Kunal Jaisingh) get guests to visit his art display, Bhavya (Mansi Srivastava) getting trolled for a post on social media which did not go down well with the Oberois and lastly Shivaay (Nakuul Mehta) losing out on a lucrative business deal because Anika (Surbhi Chandna) ended up posting a video instead of a photo on the platform. It was then that the Oberois realised that too much of anything is bad.

We quizzed producer Gul Khan regarding the same, to which she said, "Man is a social animal in all cultures. We call hundreds of people to come see that we are romantically and legally committing to this person. Nobody gets married alone and  quietly in their bedroom. We as humans have a need to share our relationship status. And sharing ones affectionate pictures online is absolutely normal! Some might even find it necessary to show off to the people about how much they love a so-and-so person, or their children and want the world to see how happy they are."

Adding further, she said, "But I guess there is a thin line from where this basic need of social happiness crosses over to social validation. Once you reach a place in PDA where you can't hide your desperation for validation, it actually becomes reflective of your insecurities rather than happiness. Many studies have been done on this topic and they all point in one direction - that the more solid you are with your partner or family or children, the less validation you will need from society or social media."

She continued, "So the idea is not that PDA is right or wrong. The idea is to be aware that we are seeking validation. The reason we did it in Ishqbaaaz is to create that awareness, not to judge people. The idea of touching social issues in the show is not to make a judgment but to spark a debate. You can have your ideas but one must be very aware of the meaning and repercussions of that idea."

Well, rightly pointed out, the idea of PDA when turns into validation leads to unnecessary chaos in an individual's life. It eventually takes the route of depression and we all know how that ends most of the times.

We are totally loving this new phase of Ishqbaaaz. What about you guys?

Ishqbaaz should stick to comedy which it is good at .For giving social message u dont have to make stranger enter oberio mansion it looks forced and shivaay giving lectures looks OTT bcoz his characterization was different in the beginning .plz don't turn social message into comedy

Now the makers are in confused state . They are well aware that what is the audience's expectations. But the makers don't like to fulfill their expectation. Because they know very well what will happen after that. This show may change the another level if the expected actors will be given a good and a suitable story. Then audience may compare the CHEMISTRY LEVEL, ACTING LEVEL etc,etc... The producer of this show never like this even she will have benefited. So this social drama may continue up till the end.

@Shelly Instead of asking others to see dictionary why don't you learn some manners? I'm not a Rumya/ Rikara/ Ruvya fan, so now am I eligible to speak? Because according to you other couple's fans should just shut up and keep mum

First of all, Gul should stay away from social issues as she herself has given a lot of wrong messages in her show. If blackmailing a girl that he would kill her brother and undress her, pulling and pushing her is not manhandling, I don't know what is

For those who don't know the meaning of manhandling, here it is (from google)-
handle (someone) roughly by dragging or pushing.
So yes, Shivaay has manhandled Anika. But our Anika reforms him and redeems him. So some foolish women can take inspiration from her and might hope to change their husbands instead of filing a complaint of domestic violence

If Gul is really interested in taking up social issues, she should take up domestic violence otherwise she should stop taking up social issues as if she is running the show for a good cause Lol

Ok now all u Shrenal fans shut up n go to hell. Anyways ur Shrenu doesn't hv anything to do in the show n now when she's given a lil importance u still hv a problem. Also, there was no way the female leads were manhandled. Do u even know what manhandling means, now consult a dictionary and get ur mentality correct n then do ur bakwaas! Go to hell!

Gul is desperately trying to stop her show from going off air so showing these social issues. She degrades her every female lead making them for a jerk, abuser and even rapist and now she is showing social issues. By showing SSO solving every problems and being so nice you can't erase the fact that how he forcibly married Anika by threatening to undress her and then threatening to kill her 6 year old handicapped brother. Aur haan Gul Mata. Aap #metoo moment se door hi raho.
