The Censor Board stops the television premier of 'The Dirty Picture'
Tellybuzz in talks with different stars to know about their views about if the decision taken by the censor board is right.

The Bombay High Court has asked the Union information and broadcasting (IB) ministry to take a call on telecast of 'The Dirty Picture', the latter barred its telecast scheduled for Sunday. A ticker tape announcement on the channel just before 12 noon informed viewers that the movie could not be telecast due to "unavoidable circumstances".
Sources informed that the ministry had intimated to Sony channel on Saturday asking it to slot the Vidya Balan starrer The Dirty Picture, late at night. It stated that since the film was awarded a 'U/A' certificate, it was not suitable for the telecast during the day and evening hours. Even the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) was in favor of telecasting the 'U/A' certified movie only after 11pm when children supposedly go to sleep. The channel had reportedly received complaints from parents about the film containing bold scenes and double meaning dialogues, sources claimed.
Let's have a look on what our telly celebrities have to say on this decision:
Gurmeet Choudhary says that, "I do agree on the time slot but not on the issue that it had to be stopped from the screening, it just doesn't hold true!"
Debina Bonnerjee said that, "I do agree with the decision taken of not screening the movie, there should be an authority and audacity to be maintained! There should be a restriction on such Adult movies, as parents do not find it good going with such movies and the effect of it on their children!"
Vishal Karwal thinks that, "its not a wise decision of not letting the film being screened! When the movie is given a National Award then it just stands a matter of question why have there to be a stop on screening. If there is a issue with children watching the movie then the scenes which affect the children should be cut off rather than stopping it from screening!"
Karan Tacker says that, "I do not agree with the decision taken of not screening the movie because the censor board itself had given the U/A certificate so there shouldn't have had been any issue's with the screening! They should stick to their wordings!"
