Tanaaz & Bhakhtyar Irani to play a couple in Bosco's 'Rocket Gang'

Actors Tanaaz Irani and Bhakhtyar Irani have been married for 14 years now and interestingly, they have starred in multiple projects over the years too. Last seen playing a couple on-screen in Bade Door Se Aaye Hai, they are yet again all set to star as a couple yet again in choreographer-turned-director Bosco Martis' upcoming film, Rocket Gang. This film will be Martis' debut film.

Talking about it with ETimes TV, Bhakhtyar said, Bosco and I have been friends since 1999. He offered Tannaz and me the roles as hosts of a dance competition in his film when I visited his office. He had seen our videos and chose us because we are crazy and not typical."

Talking about working with wife Tanaaz, he said, “It’s always fun to work with her. In the process, we also teach our children about companionship, trust and discipline. However, our working styles are quite different. I rehearse a lot and prefer completing a shot in one take. I feel that our most natural expressions are captured in the first take, after which it looks made up. We fight while working together, but I see it as an advantage because I can give my opinion freely and uninhibitedly, which may not be the case when I am working with another artiste. Whenever I make a mistake or do something stupid, she makes a vibrating sound, which is my cue to shut up (laughs!).”

On her part, Tanaaz said, “When spouses work together, the tendency is to take work home and bring home to work. But right from the beginning, Bhakhtyar and I have never faced that problem. We might be having a heated argument, but as soon as the camera rolls, we somehow cruise through. We ourselves don’t know how we do it. Our daughter tells us that we are really good actors to be able to do that (laughs!). I feel that we enhance each other’s performance because we can give honest feedback and know each other’s capabilities and competence.”

We are sure the couple will once again do a good job on-screen in another new venture.
