Swastik Pictures thinks 'hatke', to come up with show on coal mines

We have seen them giving television its first ever conjoint twins in Amber Dhara on Sony Entertainment Television, and that simply created history!! Now Swastik Pictures is back to their home turf, i.e. Sony, with a very different and unique show that has never been seen before on television!!
   
Young and talented Siddharth Tewary, Creative Director, Swastik Pictures has now visualized a fiction show set against the backdrop of coal mines. This show will see its launch sometime post IPL. The title of the show has not been decided yet.

The big screen had seen Yash Chopra's multi cast film Kaala Patthar which depicted the trials and tribulations of the laborers working inside the darkness of a coal mine. And now, we will see Swastik Pictures redefining creativity with the same concept, and that too on television!!

According to our source, "The production house believes in showcasing coal as their main subject, and aims to find diamonds. The show will have a multiple cast, with a good mix of known and new faces. The auditions are still on, and none of the cast has been locked yet".

"The show will go on floors in the next 15 days. The first outdoor schedule for the show will happen in a place which is five hours away from Banaras", adds our source.

Swastik Pictures who have always conceived and executed their shows with a different look and feel presently air Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo on Zee TV and Mata Ki Chowki on Sahara One. They also produced a unique reality show Saas V/s. Bahu for Sahara One.

Swastik Pictures has Siddharth Tewary as the Creative Director, and Vikas Seth as the Managing Partner.

When contacted, Siddharth Tewary confirmed the news and said, "Swastik Pictures has always sought to provide compelling content, and we have explored newer territories of creative excellence when it comes to our shows. This new show on Sony reiterates that fact that we want to give shows to the viewers which are contemporary, vibrant, relevant, inspirational, young-at-heart and intrinsically Indian".
