Sunny Deol announces ‘Border 2’: “ek fauji apna 27 saal purana waada…..”

Sunny Deol has officially announced the sequel to the 1997 blockbuster 'Border.' On Thursday, June 13, the actor shared an announcement video on social media, revealing that 'Border 2' is in the works. This sequel comes 27 years after the original film's release, which hit theaters on June 13, 1997.

In the announcement video, Deol is heard saying, "27 years ago, a soldier made a promise to return. He is coming back to fulfill that promise, to salute the soil of India." This statement sets a patriotic tone for the upcoming movie, promising a grand return.

Described as "India's biggest war film," 'Border 2' features the nostalgic background score of 'Sandese Aate Hain,' sung by Roopkumar Rathod and Sonu Nigam, which played a significant role in the original film's success.
