Strength & commitment drove me to take up ‘Nagmani’ as I can relate myself with these traits: Aditya Shukla

Aditya Shukla is being seen in Dangal TV show ‘Naagmani’ currently is an actor by choice and a deep sea diver by profession the good looking hunk has been garnering a lot of attention from the audiences specially the girls.

India Forums got in an exclusive chat with Shukla wherein he shared a lot of insights about his personal and professional lives. Read on the interview below.

Tell us something about yourself and your journey to Nagmani.

Before this show, like a lot of people I was at home due to covid. Everything was shut or getting shut. So really had nothing to do except wait. So I decided to do something more than just sit at home. I started my own little gym at my place to work on my body. Would act in front of the mirror, learned editing as I was trying to do daily vlogs. Basically just trying to keep myself busy. When things started to open again and auditions started again, I just gave a lot of auditions to get a good project. And after a lot of effort and hard Work, it finally paid off and I got this show. 

What is the real Aditya like ?

I'm very shy and quiet. But once I feel secure and confident with the people around me, then I'm like a 5-year-old kid who just has fun. Like my mom describes me, I'm the real life Shinchan.

What draws you to your character?

Strength and Commitment. That's the main features of Manmohan and that's how I am in real life as well. 

If not an actor what would you have been?

I am also a Deep Sea Diver also known as a Commercial Air Diver. In that, we work on diving ships in the ocean on oil Platforms. That was my profession before I decided to become an Actor. 

What are your forthcoming projects?

Right now I'm very busy with this show and I hope it goes on for a long time. After this I hope I'll get good projects, fingers crossed.

Do you think Indian television is regressive or has changed in a progressive manner over the years?

Well, staying in Mumbai, I have seen people changing the way they think about television, but in most other places especially rural areas, they are still so attached to the daily house hold drama that I think they want more of the daily house hold drama as they are able to connect more to the show then. It's a good sign for all television actors.

Who do you get along best with on sets of Nagmani?

On sets we are all very close to each other. I pull each and every actors’ leg, having fun with everybody. But the closest that I've got to on set is Pavitra (Mohini) and Neha(Rambha) because we 3 are there in almost all the scenes together. Pavitra is like a little kid when she's on set and Neha is a little kid (laughs).
