The Colors drama, 'Devanshi' was certainly an underdog when launched earlier this month. The show, though not featuring in the prime-time slot and not having 'big names' has managed to find its place in the rating charts and is gradually growing with time.
And we reported about Star Plus, who is on a spree when it comes to introducing new shows, is gearing up to present another show based on an atheist girl. The show is tentatively titled 'Nastik' and has already roped in an array of actresses which include Manasi Salvi, Pallavi Rao, Anita Kulkarni, Palak Jain, Lilly Patel and Supriya Sarna and actor Vivek Mushran.
Apart from this huge ensemble cast, the show's leads include debutante Tina Philip and actor Kanwar Dhillon, best known for his roles in 'Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha Season 2' and 'Piya Rangrezz'.
With the process of casting in its final period, the show has now roped in actress, Sharanpreet Kaur who is making her full-fledged fiction debut apart from starring in several episodics.
The actress will be playing the role of Guru Maa, the antagonist, who will be at constant loggerheads with the female lead of the show.
As the name suggests, Guru Maa will be a character similar to a 'god woman' who is also the central character.
It seems this NEW genre of playing 'god woman' will now be trending sooner rather than later.
