SS Rajamouli recalls time when wife Rama Rajamouli met with tragic road accident

SS Rajamouli fans and movie buffs have been watching Modern Masters on Netflix. The Baahubali and RRR director is the first desi filmmaker to get a documentary on Netflix. We know that MM Kreem and his wife Rama Rajamouli are part of all SS Rajamouli movies. In the documentary, he spoke about how his wife met with an accident when they were making Magadheera. SS Rajamouli said those moments were the darkest of his life. He said he burst into tears seeing his wife like that. It seems he began to pray. SS Rajamouli had earlier revealed that he is an atheist. 

In the video, he is quoted as saying, “The nearest hospital was 60 km away. I was terrified. At the back of my mind, a thought erupted, 'Am I praying to god to help me?' But I didn't do that. I just frantically cried and kept calling doctors and doing what needed to be done.” 

He said work is worship for him. SS Rajamouli says, “I think at some point I chose karma yoga as my way of life. My work is my god. I have huge respect for cinema.” The two met first in 2001. He was the brother of her brother-in-law. She said there was no romance as she was a divorcee with a son, Karthikeya. It seems they became friends. When he proposed a marriage, she was in shock. She told him that he must be mad. However, he was persistent. 

Talking about his proposal, she had said, “Again, it’s not a very interesting romantic way. It was a very casual conversation that happened between both of us. And I said, ‘No, no, you must be mad, just go.’ I was a divorcee, I had a son by then so I thought it was meaningless for him to even come up with this thought.” They welcomed a daughter Mayookha via adoption after some time. He is one adoring dad. He said that if she finds out that he has been talking about her, she will be very upset.
