Sonali Bendre Recalls the Tragic Times when she was in Hospital during her 16th Anniversary

Sonali Bendre and Goldie Behl have proved to the world what true love is by literally being besides each other through thick and thin. The have relished the most beautiful days of their lives and also bravely faced the storms together. They have identified two time periods - B.C. (Before Cancer) and A.C. (After Cancer). Their lives took an ugly turn when Sonali was detected with metastatic cancer last year and the actress was rushed to the US for treatment.

After a lengthy period of receiving treatment and by the grace of God, Sonali sprung back to her normal life hale and hearty and today she is celebrating her 17th wedding anniversary along with husband Goldie Behl by going on a road trip (something that her husband never agreed on before she was detected with cancer) to Atmantan.

While wishing her hubby, the actress jotted down a beautiful post on her Instagram handle along with an adorable selfie of the two. In the post, she also mentioned that before cancer, Goldie would have never agreed to take a road trip but she is loving how he's changed.

Taking it to her account, she wrote, “This day, last year... we were in New York at the hospital.”

Her note further said, “Since then, the Bendre-Behls have identified two time periods - B.C. (Before Cancer) and A.C. (After Cancer). Lately, my motto has been to move on & keep trying new things, and detoxing and rejuvenating is on top of the list. So on the occasion of our 17th wedding anniversary, I thought let’s take a break and go on a road trip to @atmantan. Before Cancer, Goldie would have never agreed to something like this but I love how he's changed.”

Her note also said how her hubby has prioritised her health, putting everything else on standby. It said, “He has put everything on standby and has been focusing so much on me... and now I'm turning the focus back on him.” While mentioning a postscript, she called Behl her pillar of strength in health & sickness... literally! “P.S. Happy Anniversary @goldiebehl, I love you more than you could imagine... thank you for being my pillar of strength in health & sickness... literally!”

The moment she uploaded the picture on her handle, Bollywood celebs like Hrithik Roshan, Farah Khan, Sussane Khan, Madhuri Dixit, to name a few, have also extended their warm and lovely anniversary wishes by commenting on Sonali's Insta-post.

Meanwhile, the actress was in New York for a while where she was getting treated for cancer. However, after winning over the deadly disease, Sonali has been on a strict diet and rigorously working out to maintain her lifestyle and physique. Bendre had recently expressed to make a comeback in Bollywood but conditions apply, she has no interest in doing rona dhona roles onscreen.
