Actor Simaran Kaur shares her opinion.
“It's truly heartbreaking to hear about Zhanna Samsonova's tragic loss due to starvation. With so many diets available, it's easy to get tempted by quick fixes. However, it's essential to remember that not all diets are healthy,” she continues, “The abundance of diets in the market can indeed be confusing. There's a constant influx of new trends and fads, making it challenging to discern what's genuinely beneficial for one's health.”
To stay healthy, Simaran prioritizes a balanced diet that includes a variety of foods, exercise regularly. “I also ensure that I get enough sleep. Hydration is also crucial, so I drink plenty of water throughout the day,” she says.
About the kind of diet she would ask people to follow, she adds, “When it comes to weight loss, I would advise people to opt for a balanced and sustainable approach. Incorporate whole foods, fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains into your diet. Portion control and regular exercise are key.”
In fact, the actor shares about her friends falling into the wrong diet trap. “Yes, I've had friends who tried following some unusual diets, like extreme juice cleanses or all-protein diets. While I respect their choices, I always try to share information about the potential risks and suggest they consult a nutritionist or doctor,” she says.
What is the weirdest diet that you have come across recently? “One of the most bizarre diets I've come across recently is the "breatharian diet”, where people claim they can survive on air and sunlight, air, the energy etc. around them. It's not only scientifically unproven but also extremely dangerous,” she adds.
