Shyam Ramsay of Ramsay Brothers passes away at 67! Iconic Horror production suffers shocking blow

Ramsay Brothers have been the silent sentinels of the Horror genre in the Hindi film industry. But, Bollywood suffered a massive blow right at its foundation as an Indian film director and one of the seven Ramsay Brothers - Shyam Ramsay passed away on September 18, 2019.
The director left for heavenly abode on Wednesday, early morning in Mumbai. Amit Ramsay confirmed the news with a heavy heart.
According to a report in Times of India, Shayam was suffering from pneumonia since the past couple of days and this morning at aroun 5 am he left for heavenly abode.
The 67-year-old director was one of the seven brothers who were widely regarded for their art to conceive horror films with a low budget and one of the active filmmakers from 70s - 80s. He was known to direct films like, 'Andhera', 'Purana Mandir', 'Purani Haveli', 'Koi Hai'among others. Shyam along with his brother Tulsi also pioneered the genre on TV by coming up with the first horror series.
The Ramsay Brothers included Kumar Ramsay, Keshu Ramsay, Tulsi Ramsay, Karan Ramsay /Kiran Ramsay, Shyam Ramsay, Gangu Ramsay, and Arjun Ramsay. They were the major catalysts in Indian cinema who secured a place in Hindi cinema’s hall of fame for their quintessential horror films.
Tulsi Ramsay too had passed away in December last year. The 77-year-old Indian filmmaker complained of chest pain but he passed away on his way to the hospital itself!
