Shalini Kapoor quits 'Sirf Tum' as it moves to OTT

Colors' Sirf Tum has been the talk-of-the-town for a while now. From facing the brunt of having low TRPs to circulation of rumors that the show is all set to go off-air, it has been everywhere.

The last report that came in was about how Sirf Tum is not going off-air but instead moving to digital platform, Voot soon.

Now, there is another update coming in that veteran actress Shalini Kapoor, who played the role of the mother to Vivian Dsena's character is also all set to quit the show.

Kapoor aka Mamta Oberoi has indeed call it quits and she went on to talk about it in an interview with ETimes TV.

She said, "I have quit the show out of choice, my character and track had not come to an end. The reason behind that is that my role has majority scenes with my son Ranveer (played by Vivian Dsena). Since some time, Vivian isn't there on the show and because of that that my role too doesn't have any important scenes to do. People used to like watching the mother- son duo on the show. I used to get a good response on social media. But now since there is not much happening there, I felt it is the right time to make an exit from the show. I am quitting on good terms."

Talking about the scenario where a show is moved to OTT from TV, she said, "As an actor, it doesn't bother me as much. But I do feel that as a show, it is not a good sign. But one can never tell what really works for a show."
