Shaheer Sheikh feels music videos might get monotonous but there are so many makers

Shaheer Sheikh is in a happy space right now as the actor has had two music video releases post his wedding, and is currently enjoying his vacation with wife Ruchikaa Kapoor. He was last seen in Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, but the show ended rather abruptly as Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2 took its time slot.

With music videos taking over, we got in touch with the actor recently and he spoke about the shooting, anecdotes and more. Read excerpts from the interview here.

You have had two back to back releases, tell us about it.

Ab Kya Jaan Legi Meri is the hip-hop track, it is something very different and I have never done anything like that, I am dancing there as well. In addition, it has an interesting star cast of Palash, Sana, and Rashami. We had a lot of fun shooting for it and it is an equally fun song. You guys have not seen me in this kind of attire and that kind of a music video. The other music video, Je Tu Na Bulawe is a Punjabi song, I am very thrilled about it because it is a very soulful song, the singer has sung it from his heart, and we've also shot it beautifully.

What took you so long to hop onto the bandwagon of shooting for music videos?

I was shooting for my TV show and I believe if I am working on a project which needs all my attention so I give it all my attention, I try not to sign something else outside of it because being a daily soap actor is quite demanding and challenging so I wouldn't want to take up another project on top of it.

You mentioned how shooting for both the videos was fun, tell us any anecdotes if you remember?

(laughs) This was the first time I was doing this kind of a dance form, it was challenging for me and Sana was making a lot of fun, making fun of me, because I was trying to learn new dance steps from her and of course the director and dance choreographer, it was a lot of fun, overall.

With the trend of music videos taking over, do you think it might get monotonous?

Of course, it gets monotonous, but if you are still able to entertain, then why not? If you are doing similar genres of the same thing, maybe you want to see something new, but there are so many makers to get new things, like creating new genres and bring something new to the table.

Well, it looks like the actor has quite the creative approach about music videos and we bet the fans would love to see him in them more often!
