Shah Rukh Khan, who has consistently pushed the boundaries of Indian cinema, shared insights into his preparation for King, revealing that the film represents a significant shift in his career choices. "For the past 6-7 years, I've been contemplating certain types of roles that resonate more with my current phase in life. When I casually mentioned this to Sujoy Ghosh, he immediately responded with a subject that intrigued me," Khan disclosed. Ghosh, a frequent collaborator who has directed films under Khan's production banner, is set to helm King, adding to the anticipation surrounding the project.
Khan also opened up about the physical transformation he is undergoing for his role in the film. "The character in King requires me to lose some weight and engage in rigorous stretching exercises," he said. This level of dedication highlights his commitment to embodying his characters fully, ensuring that each role he takes on is distinct and impactful.
King is not just notable for its lead star but also for its ensemble cast, which includes Abhishek Bachchan in a pivotal antagonist role.
