Shabana Azmi says superstar Shah Rukh Khan's role as a possessive fan Gaurav Channa in "Fan" has been his best so far.

"Watched 'Fan' today. Your performance as Gaurav Channa is possibly one of your best to date. Congratulations," Shabana tweeted.

To that, Shah Rukh replied: "Shabana Azmi thank you so much ma'am. Javed sahib gave me a beautiful poem to read after watching it. Now I have 'cent per cent' marks."

"Fan" featured Shah Rukh as Gaurav, a fan of superstar Aryan Khanna, who is also played by the superstar.

The film has been directed by Maneesh Sharma.

Movie is flop!!
But whoever watched the movie will never forget SRK's performance! He was OUTSTANDING!
Izzat kamao logo ke dil aur dimaag mein jagah banao, paisa toh har koi kamata hai! This is what I believe what SRK has done in his career no matter how many flos blockbusters hits he give people will NEVER forget this actor!
In few years 500 cr collection India biz won't be remembered, what people will remember is WHAT he did not how much the movies collected! <br/>Btw SRK knew FAN will fail, same as Swades he said this movie won't work but I am gonna do it anyway! But who talks about Swades collection now?? Anyone who have seen it remembers the great social message that movie gave and SRK's marvelous performance!!
