Monsoon is more than just a season; it's a magical time that takes us back to childhood memories of playing in the rain. For many, including renowned actress Seema Kapoor, who is known for projects like Udaariyaan, Bidaai, Saas Vs Bahu, Ek Hazaron Me Meri Behna Hain, Sukanya, Hasratein, Madhubala, monsoon is not just a season but an experience that evolves over the years, bringing new joys and cherished moments.

"Winters have always been my all-time favourite season," Seema shares, "but I used to dread the monsoons. Commuting for shoots during waterlogging and clogged roads was frightening. But with the recent soaring heat waves, I have somehow fallen in love with monsoons. I love the atmosphere of monsoons," she explains. "It's not excruciating; rather, I find the weather very romantic."

While she admits she's not a fan of getting drenched, Seema finds joy in walking in the rain with a raincoat and gumboots, prancing around and fully embracing the downpour. However, her ideal way to enjoy the rain is a bit more laid-back. "I love to admire the rain sitting next to my balcony, watching it pour down heavily," she says. "I love the smell of the rain in the breezy air and also the dimness it causes during the daytime. It's a different feeling altogether."

Like many of us, Seema has her monsoon cravings. "I often crave pakoras during this period," she admits, adding a delicious touch to the enchanting experience.

Despite her newfound love for the monsoon, Seema is mindful of its potential downsides. "I love the monsoons now, as long as they don't cause havoc in anyone's life," she says, showing her thoughtful nature.

In essence, this is a beautiful reminder of how our perspectives can change, making us appreciate the little joys in life even more. So, next time it rains, take a cue from Seema: embrace the romance, enjoy the cool breeze, and maybe indulge in some pakoras while watching the rain from your balcony. After all, monsoons are not just about the rain but the magical moments they bring.
