The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) seems to have pledged to dig deep into the alleged drug nexus of Bollywood and the entertainment industry. The NCB came into the picture after a drug angle emerged into Sushant Singh Rajput's death probe.
While new names of top Bollywood celebrities keep cropping up in connection to the case, actress Sherlyn Chopra has come forward and made some shocking revelations in her recent interview. While speaking to a news channel, she claimed that she has seen cricketers and Bollywood stars' wives snort cocaine at the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders' party. The team KKR is owned by Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan.
Sherlyn told ABP News:
“I once went to Kolkata to watch a KKR match, after the game I was invited to an after-party, which was attended by all popular cricketers and their wives. I was enjoying a lot in the party, however, I got tired after dancing and went to the washroom and the scene I saw there was beyond shocking, all these star-wives were snorting cocaine in the ladies washroom area, they smiled at me and I smiled back. I thought I am at a wrong place and came outside, the party was going on in full swing and such drug parties go on one after other.”
While Sherlyn did not take any names during the interview, she has asserted that she will reveal the names to the Narcotics Control Bureau, if called for questioning. "This nexus is very big. The NCB has not reached the big players yet. I sincerely hope that they will reach. In the coming days, the drugs syndicate NCB is about to reach the big players. When they are called, people will know how big is this nexus," she said.
Meanwhile, the NCB has widened its probe in the drug case and many big names have come under the radar. On Wednesday, the Narcotics Control Bureau issued summons to top Bollywood actresses including Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh for questioning in the drugs-case.
