Saumya Tandon to opt out of next season of Comedy Circus?

It is believed that Saumya Tandon wants to recreate the 'Jab We Met' magic and hence is considering some good film scripts.

Saumya Tandon who is anchoring the current season of Comedy Circus Ke Tansen might not be part of the next season which will be on air in the coming month.

According to sources, she is looking at returning to films. Her debut venture as Roop in Imitiaz Ali's super hit film, Jab We Met had got her rave reviews.

The source adds, "If the film project works out, she might not even host subsequent seasons of Zee TV's Dance India Dance as well".

However when contacted, Saumya refused to comment. "All I will say is that I have had a great time hosting Comedy Circus Ke Tansen. The stand- up artists are just too good and I have learnt a thing or two about the craft from them".

Recently Comedy Circus went back to its original format of being a weekly. The only reason it was made bi-weekly six months back was when there was shortage of fresh content on Sony. But with a series of new launches in X Factor, Entertainment Ki Liye Kuch Bhi Karega and Adaalat going biweekly, things are back to normal. Also it was really getting difficult for the artists to prepare two gags every week and everybody was requesting the channel to revert to the old schedule.

As for Saumya, let's see whether fortune knocks at her door..
