Salman Khan to return as Devi Lal in 'Kick 2'; film to go on floors by 2025 - REPORT

Sajid Nadiadwala, who made his directorial debut with "Kick," is preparing to helm the sequel of the high-octane action film. According to reports, Nadiadwala has been diligently crafting the script to ensure it meets the high expectations set by its predecessor. Despite juggling multiple productions under his banner, Sajid is committed to dedicating his full attention to "Kick 2," aiming to start shooting next year.

An insider revealed that Nadiadwala is currently engrossed in script development, balancing his time between this project and other ventures. "Sajid is overseeing several productions but is making sure everything runs smoothly to focus entirely on directing 'Kick 2', the report stated. The director-producer's enthusiasm for the project is evident, as he and Salman Khan, who share a strong friendship, are thrilled about reuniting for the sequel.

In a previous interview, Nadiadwala expressed his fondness for the "Kick" franchise, calling it his "favourite IP." He acknowledged the immense curiosity surrounding the sequel and emphasized the importance of delivering a top-notch cinematic experience. "We need to work very hard to give value for not just their money, but also their time," he stated, underscoring his commitment to surpassing audience expectations.

The original "Kick" featured an ensemble cast, including Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Randeep Hooda, and was an adaptation of the 2009 Telugu film of the same name.
