Saif Ali Khan REVEALS the TRUTH behind his DIVORCE with Amrita Singh

Saif Ali Khan is having some of the best days of his life currently. With the arrival of his newborn,
Taimur Ali Khan and some big projects in his hands, he is in a happy space, both personally and professionally.
But the 10th Nawab of Pataudi did have his share of some horrific personal problems in the past, one of which includes his divorce with his ex-wife
Amrita Singh.

Saif Ali Khan is now going viral. Reason? In the interview, he had revealed the real reason behind his divorce with his ex-wife
Amrita Singh. He had also opened up about the scary incidents that he, his mother
Sharmila Tagore and his sisters,
Soha Ali Khan and Saba Ali Khan had faced.
Excerpts from his interview that is going viral:
"My wife and I have gone our separate ways. I respect my wife's space. But why am I being constantly reminded of how terrible a husband I was, and how awful a father I am' I've my son Ibrahim's photograph in my wallet. Each time I look at it, I feel like crying'. I miss my daughter Sara all the time," Saif said in his interview dating back to 2005.
He furtehr added that Amrita often called him 'worthless' and even took jibes at his mother and sister.
"It isn't nice to be constantly reminded of how worthless you are and to have taunts, jeers, insults and abuses thrown at your mother and sister all the time. I've gone through all of it."
He then shared that he paid Rs 5 crore to Amrita even after this ordeal.
Sharing his financials, Saif said, "I'm supposed to give Amrita Rs 5 crore, of which I've already given her approximately Rs 2.5 crore. Also, I'm paying Rs 1 lakh per month until my son becomes 18. I'm not Shah Rukh Khan. I don't have that kind of money. I've promised her I'll pay up the rest of the money, and I will, even if I've to slog till I drop dead."
With pain in his statements he revealed that the house he once owned is also occupied by Amrita now but he is happy that his kids are comfortable.
"Whatever I've earned from doing ads, stage shows and films is being given for my children. I've no money. Our bungalow is for Amrita and the kids, and never mind the relatives who've joined her after my departure," he stated.
"I really want my kids. But I don't want to put up a constant fight over them. If they are to be taken away from me then let Amrita call them Sara Singh and Ibrahim Singh. Let my daughter become 18 and ask me, 'Where were you Dad, when my brother and I needed you'' Let me die of shame. But please don't kill me with a feeling of constant guilt just because I've had the courage to finally walk away from an impossible relationship to find some solace." Saif shared.
On a concluding note, at that time, Saif had said: "I want no confrontation with Amrita. She was, and will remain, an integral part of my life. I want her and my kids to be happy."

A lot of aristocrats don't have the kind of money that people think they have. I feel sad for him. I don't know the history of him and Amrita, but Saif has always come across as a very well behaved person. I really feel sorry for him. I'm sure he isn't spotless, it takes two to tango... but still, broken homes are sad, and everyone suffers. P.S. Didn't like him asking Amrita to call his children Singh.

hahha.. what a joke he's made of himself? he'd not money? seriously? You're a nawab and nawab have alot of money that their children can survive if they don't even work in their whole life. When amrita and your divorce rumors were circulating on social sites, youwere having an extra martial affair with rosa at that time and that was the reason for your divorce. so just shutup.itna khayal tha toh affaiir kiya kyu tab nahi yad aya k bache hai.. bloody loser

To torture a person mentally one doesn't need to give an interview... Even Amrita 's behavior is also quite rude... No father will feel bad for providing his children his name or money... When he said that it seems to be like he was just fed up of her demand... That's what I perceived from the interview... And about money sometimes families wealth doesn't matter but his own earn money does @pesi11

I think dis is total bullshit. He pulled dis victim card to avert questions of not being there for his children. As far as I remember he was busy having many affairs before he settled down wid kareena. Moreover Patudi's are one of the richest families. If he was really broke as he says babita wud not have allowed kareena to marry saif ..lol.

This interview is from 2005, thus a lil late to react but still here goes. is this man for real ! of coz he needs to provide for his kids upkeep alongside Amrita. He used to live on Amrita's hard earned money. Amrita singh never ever said anything about him and his family in media . whereas his family never liked Amrita. Currently in all media Kareena has been quoted as " Sara is more her friend than step child". I feel bad for the kids, the bandage on their wounds are ripped again and again by us, the media and this Self Serving Interview of Saif's . All their private emotions are being played out in the public because of their father.

@kumariashi amritha is not suzanne..i know that. have you ever seen one intvw whr amritha taalked about saif anywhr. though media kept asking her about kareena..her pregnancy..wat not..she never talked about ..she never bashed them..she moved on..do u think 5 crore is a big money to nawab ..ROFL. at least what media portrayed is they r super rich. that is what my understanding after reading so many articles. again according to him the kids r with amrita. so what's wrong in providing his kids. why does he feel bad. he is sounding so miserable as if amrita and kids took everything from him. he should have just opened up back then if he is not happy about paying alimony. look at his behavior. what's wrong if the kids took over singh name than his surname. he is making it bad to have a child inherit mother's surname. what kind of backward thinking is that.

@xoanyaxo if saif's words are true I support Saif on Sing's part. May be Amrita thought Saif's background will bring her money, but it didn't(his mom is in control, which is obvious.). So the luxury she expected she didn't get, so she always expressed his weakness in front of the kids. obviously, his point of view towards Amrita if I am that bad why you need my money or my name> you can cut my name then. That's it! nothing else towards the kids.

I agree hritik kept his personal life private. .. But we have to think that also his wife was suzzane... who also help him in keeping their life private. ..and had never involved their kids... but Amrita is not suzzane you know... so how could you expect saif to be like hritik... I think 5 crore was a big amount even for a celebrity back that time. ..@pesi11

Hard to believe his words He is no shah rukh agreed but he is son of famous ppl , he's a nawab with crores(at least that's what a tons of media says)... And if he really doesn't then he should have fought over it then not now. Now let's keep all that aside for a min what irks me the most in this interview is the way he talks about what he does or does not do for his kids(my rents do a lot for me and don't even say a word about it). The way calls them Singh is almost very wrong it looks like he is doing some favors on his kid by letting them use his surname If I were his kid I would be ashamed to call him dad after this interview
