Confirming the speculations, he has officially become the eighth contestant to step into the house this season. In an exclusive interview with India Forums, Sai shares his insights into why he ultimately decided to accept the offer to join Bigg Boss OTT and much more.
To be honest, I do feel a bit apprehensive about being in front of the camera myself. Some might find it surprising that an actor would have such concerns

What prompted your decision to join Bigg Boss OTT 3?
I've been actively involved in TV shows and web series, and now, somewhere, I feel a bit saturated with that. I want to explore something new. While I've built a following through television, I also wanted to reach out to reality show enthusiasts, especially the vast audience of Bigg Boss. To be honest, I do feel a bit apprehensive about being in front of the camera myself. Some might find it surprising that an actor would have such concerns. Up until now, I've portrayed characters on screen, and people have appreciated the roles and performances I've delivered. Now, I'm stepping into the spotlight as Sai Ketan Rao. I hope to be recognised by my own name rather than just my characters. Yes, of course, I value the love for my roles because I've worked hard on them, but now I aspire for people to know me as Sai, beyond any character I've played.
Are you conscious about your image possibly being portrayed incorrectly and whether people will like you in the house or not?
I believe that when people say a person's image is being portrayed incorrectly, it might not necessarily be true. The person could simply be reacting according to the situation or based on certain expectations. In reality shows, for example, participants often act in line with their expectations, which could include monetary benefits, fame, popularity, or proving something to others. Thus, it might not be fair to say their image is wrong. They are just responding to the circumstances and trying to adapt to the situation.
Honestly, I fear the word 'love.' I don't trust love on camera because I believe this emotion is very personal and private

Did you follow any previous seasons? Any past favourite contestants?
I haven't watched any previous season in its entirety. I've seen a few episodes here and there, but I didn't follow them religiously. However, I really liked Siddharth Shukla. Sadly, he is no longer with us, but he played well and had a great personality.
When asked if he knows how to cook and clean, as these are duties within the household, Sai responded, "Well, when it comes to cooking, I can prepare basic dishes like dal chawal and chai. As for cleaning, I can handle everything because I'm that hostel ka bandha (I've lived in a hostel). From my childhood, I've been in a hostel environment where our teachers made us clean and wash our own clothes. So, I've developed those habits and I can manage these tasks."

This season, we are privileged to have actor Anil Kapoor as our host. What are your thoughts on this exciting development?
I'm both happy and a bit sad. I'm happy because Anil sir is hosting this season; he has incredible charisma, charm, and presence. I really admire him and have watched almost all of his movies. However, I'm also a bit sad because I wanted to meet Salman sir and have a fan moment by taking a picture with him. Unfortunately, that didn't happen this time, but maybe in the future. Overall, I'm happy.
Did you think you might find love on the show, considering many contestants from previous seasons have fallen in love in the house?
Honestly, I fear the word 'love.' I don't trust love on camera because I believe this emotion is very personal and private. So, I don't think I'll fall in love on the show, but I really value friendship.
For the unversed, this season's lineup of contestants includes well-known personalities such as Shobha De, Ranveer Shorey, Sai Ketan Rao, Sana Makbul, Sana Sultana, Chandrika Dixit, Vishal Pandey, Lovekesh Kataria, Shivani Kumari, Arman Malik, Payal Malik, Kritika Malik, and John Effer, among others.
