Ridhi Dogra faces immense backlash for praising Ranbir Kapoor's Animal; actor fires back

Coming in as no surprise, Animal is firing on all fronts. On one hand, the film is making a gigantic splash at the box office and having broken a few records already, it is poised to land a spot in the Top 3 highest-grossers of all time, if not more; on the other hand the film continues to ignite a debate about the portrayal of toxic masculinity, violence and misogyny.

Some agree and some disagree but when a celebrity makes a stand, it obviously creates a bigger stir than others. On that note, actor Ridhi Dogra recently was at the receiving end of an insane amount of backlash for expressing her views about Ranbir Kapoor's character and even the film in general.

Her tweet read, "Tripping on this !  What a film. Anyone who feels triggered, should respect their feelings and not watch the film. Coz this film has deeper meanings about attachments & consequences and a triggered heart won’t be able to take it. But 🙌 #theanimal loved it all @imvangasandeep"

This ignited an extremely long debate between her and her followers where she would understand the take of many people, accept if someone feels triggered by the film but also explained her side in what she liked about the film.

This is just a set of tweets of the very long conversation between her and the followers. The actor signed off on a mellow note as the film continues to raise a conversation consistently.

Coming to Dogra, she had a stellar 2023 starring in array of projects including having notable roles in biggies like Jawan and most recently, Tiger 3.
