Richa Chadha is known for fearlessly sharing her views, whether on environmental issues or other subjects. In a recent post on her social media platform, she voiced her worries about the declining air quality in Delhi post-Diwali festivities. Her proactive stance on such crucial matters highlighted her concern for environment.
Despite Delhi facing heavy smog and pollution every year, the situation worsens post-Diwali due to the excessive burning of firecrackers. Richa Chadha responded to a user's post showing a video of firecrackers lighting up the city under a dense smog layer. She highlighted that the Air Quality Index (AQI) had surged to over 1000 in certain areas, marking it as 'hazardous' for human health. This emphasizes the urgent need for collective action to address the severe environmental impact of such practices.
Feeling deeply troubled and upset, Richa Chadha expressed her distress about the situation. She talked about how people in Delhi are essentially living with a 'death sentence called life' due to breathing in the highly polluted air every day. Chadha conveyed her emotional connection to the city and her disappointment with the current state of affairs.
