The much awaited Season 2 of 'Sarabhai V/S Sarabhai' is finally here and from the looks of the first episode, it seems to have got even better. Titled 'Sarabhai V/S Sarabhai Take 2', the show picks up from where it left off in the last season and you can catch the episodes exclusively on Hotstar.
Produced By: Hatsoff Productions.
Cast: Ratna Pathak Shah, Satish Shah, Rupali Ganguly, Sumeet Raghavan, Rajesh Kumar, Vaibhavi Upadhyay, Aishwarya Sakhuja, Deven Bhojani and Arvind Vaidya amongst others.

There couldn't have been a better start to the episode as we see the whole Sarabhai family together, however, in a situation rather unanticipated. They are stuck in a bus, which is just about to fall off a cliff and no prizes for guessing, the reason for the same is none other than Monisha.
After some hilarious instances, we are introduced to the whole Sarabhai family who have relocated to their penthouse as their Cuffe Parade residence is under renovation. The characters have aged gracefully with their basic characteristics enhanced, given the 7-year leap.
This story picks up from where they left off in Season 1 and focuses on how Rosesh's impending marriage can be a cause of concern for his future. That's when the whole family decides to embark on the journey to offer their prayers to (Matkadhar) baba and get stuck in the situation. To top everything, we are officially introduced to Rosesh's love interest, Jasmin at the end of the episode. We have an adorable, sophisticated and vintage laugh riot set in place for the upcoming episodes.
What We Liked:
The way the makers decided to proceed with this season's story line is very innovative. The idea of introducing a real-time sequence supported by a flashback may be tried and tested, but the treatment to this show has been crisp and on point.
The audience is treated to Monisha's lovable (dim) wit, Maya's improved sarcasm, Sahil and Monisha's son Arnab (who seems to be a perfect blend of Maya and Monisha), Rosesh's poems but of course with a twist (his onomatopoeic references continue to be legendary) and the 'heh-heh? Kumar', Madhusudhan Fufa.
The surprise addition to this season is the adult humour. Never did we imagine that we would witness carnal humour in a Sarabhai episode, but to our delight it is there and we are not complaining. The thin line between going obscene and just having a laugh on something is maintained in the most crafted manner.
The Verdict:
Comparisons were bound to happen between this season and the previous season. But all of that can be put to rest, as the characters have aged, the jokes have changed and the all new season has loads to offer to the audience.
