It's always a pleasure to find a show that's a lot better than you might have expected and simultaneously, to have a channel steady its aim to present something unique after being frustratingly erratic.
Launched on March 14, Dehleez incorporates drama, dance, passion, romance and action with a political angle promising to be a television blockbuster!
The cast is an interesting mix of the stalwarts of the TV industry and its crisp editing and cinematography makes the sequences intriguing!
ABOUT THE SHOW
The series is a courtroom drama focusing on the bureaucracy of our nation. After watching the initial episodes of the story, we noted that the show will highlight a love story between Adarsh (Harshad Arora), an IAS officer and Swadheenta (Tridha Choudhury), a lawyer. Both of them support truth and justice and in the process fall in love.
What Works For The Show
Harshad Arora comes to this show with an already humongous fan following courtesy his stint in 'Beintehaa'. That is absolutely a huge boon for a show like this.
Its barely some episodes and we are already smitten by the chemistry of the lead pair. Adarsh and Swadheenta's chemistry is cute, simple and perfect.
Meghna Malik as Suhasini Sinha is nothing short of a powerhouse to be reckoned with. She is easily my favourite character from the lot. What I really liked about her most is that she slays us as an on-screen lawyer! I mean, Meghna could show up at my firm and start barking orders without anyone giving a second thought.

The show's look-and-feel is a courtroom political drama which enables the presence of some high altitude scenes. However, such scenes which can be not-so-pleasing at times are perfectly portrayed by clubbing them with a tinge of comedy. That makes it a delight to watch.
The script does not waste time in nonsensical sequences. It is cut to cut and breaks the monotony of stretchy content we watch on TV today.

What May Not Work?
In a crisp drama like this, there are rare factors which doesn't work for the show and one of them is the sheer cliched concept of 'love at first sight'.

Characterization
With inventive and engaging, on top of a bevy of additional story-lines layered in, we feel Dehleez requires a star capable of serving as unifying glue. While Harshad Arora is very much able to justify his character, he's not going to be the one to pull the show together.
Tridha Choudhury looks confident and cute at the same time. As mentioned earlier, her chemistry with Harshad makes us go 'aww!!' Having done Bengali and Telugu films in the past, Tridha's debut in a daily soap doesn't fail at all.
I already mentioned about Meghna Malik being the standout performer, however, the rest of the cast which include Amit Behl, Jaideep Sinha, Hunar Hali and the others too pull of some great acting and help the show build up inquisitiveness about what the big swing will bring forth to the viewers.
The Verdict
All in all, Dehleez manages to grab the interest of the audience. The story is up to the mark hinting exciting twists and turns at the end of each episode.

So far so good...We hope Dehleez can pull off this concept for much longer.

I don't understand how can Mr. Gilalai and his son can get framed as a terrorist. . Asad tried reaching the Indian army officer before dying and that is a proof he wasn't involved. Then the same officer went to the college to involve Asad as an informer in tracking out any suspious activity on campus. His father, Mr. Gilani was also present,. Therefore, that should be brought up. If a person is on mission why would he receive his sister's (Freedom) phone call. Additionally, Mr Gilani was present at the wedding with his wife. Then someone called Mr. Gilani to say he found his son's phone on the street, that is another evidence why Mr. Gilani tried to leave the wedding. Mr. Gilani wasn't carrying any arms and ammunition. The wedding campus had CCTV. Initially, yes... he could be a suspect. Above all, the army guy has stooped to such a low level that after Asad's assassination, he is happy to learn that Asad was a terrorist. In that situation, that guy definitely doesn't deserve to get married to Asad's GF. Along the bomb Blast, Abhay wasn't getting any medical help, officers were just chasing the terrorist. Even when people were getting help, Abhay was just lying there. It seems Indian police force is totally terrible, they did not even give a try to take hold of Asad live. Asad did not have any gun to harm slightest, so many cops chasing one single terrorist and killing him rather than arresting him for further interrogation while there was a risk of another blast any moment. I love this show but last few episodes doesn't make much sense. So many editing errors. The army guy seems to be a super villain. The show portrays cruelty. Abahay's wife has no mother and now no husband. You could put Abahay in indefinite Coma

I love love love this show... Totally awesome and tridha-harshad chemistry is awesome. I agree that the concept of love at first sight seems a little clichd but while watching the show you just totally forget about it coz the storyline is so crisp and up to the mark... All actors have done a tremendous job and this show really is worth watching. It makes you feel you're utilizing your time in the best way. The chemistry of the leads have totally gotten me smitten. I think there rarely would be anyone who doesn't like this coz all in all its a package of everything... But if people don't like it...we totally respect them. But I heart this show since the first promo. Keep rocking dahleez!! :)
