Addressing health and mental well-being has long been a priority for individuals, and celebrities frequently engage in conversations on this topic to advocate for healthier lifestyles and impart crucial messages to their fans and followers. In a recent candid conversation with India Forums, actress Regina Cassandra delved into the significance of mental well-being, highlighting its importance alongside other aspects of life. She emphasized how celebrities can effectively serve as conduits for spreading awareness about mental health when approached in a right manner.

Talking about how people approach mental well being she said, "I think Even though we've had many people in the limelight itself come out and talk about their mental health openly, there are still a lot of people for various reasons. Some people, there's that stigma, right? If you go to a psychiatrist or you go to a psychologist, it means you're mad. That stigma has been pretty old and it's still probably there."

She added, "But there's also another stigma of people from a different socioeconomic status, people who had higher education, who come from a different understanding and perspective of the world, where people think that because they've solved so much in life and because they come from this background, they would know better than a therapist. This whole know better about myself than a therapist is actually a bigger stigma than the other where people think, Oh, if I go to a psychiatrist or a psychologist, people will think I'm there."

When questioned, "Recently, under the guise of promoting health awareness, there was a notable campaign that sparked a significant controversy. It highlighted how individuals sometimes resort to inappropriate methods to raise awareness about important issues, such as cervical cancer. So what's your take on that?"

To this she expressed, "Honestly, we're living in a world where everyone is buying for attention. And with this whole onset of social media and having to up your followers and up this and top your game, and all of that. People are going to go to any length to do anything. So it's a vicious cycle."

Adding to it she further said, "And honestly, today's audience is either very forgiving or very unforgiving. It's both ways. So just because someone put something, everyone's going to forget it tomorrow, man. Honestly, today something happens and everyone's out to get that person. Everyone's raging. People are hurt. I had conversations with people who were affected by this particular cancer, and most of them felt bad that someone actually went out and did something like this."

Concluding her thought she gushed, "But I honestly feel like it shouldn't even matter to any of us. I'm not saying that because I was not someone who was affected by it. I do have close dear friends and family who have been affected by cancer. For me, it's just about I look at it as someone who made a bad decision with in regard to these things. And you move on."

Regina Cassandra has been quite vocal about issues like these and someone needs to address these subjects and promote a better state of living.
