Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan's first Hindi film as a lead hero "Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal" hits theatres Friday and Ranbir Kapoor's "Barfi!" releases on the same day. However, Ravi is not worried and says they are two different genres.
"See, it's not competition. I feel good cinema, be it big or small, with small actor or big actor, it always works. Release date is the same, but the cinema is different, the audience will be different and it ( 'Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal') will earn respect," the 41-year-old said here Monday in an interview.
"The budget is small and it will cover the cost. I am very sure it will be housefull in single screens all over India," he added.
Directed by Manish Vatsalya, "Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal" also stars Yashpal Sharma, Hazel Crowney and Manish himself. While Director Anurag Basu's "Barfi" has big names like Ranbir and Priyanka Chopra.
Meanwhile, Ravi, who is trying to establish himself as a lead hero in Bollywood, is not afraid of the other big names at all.
"I have a separate audience, I have a separate fan following, I have a different way of acting, I am an opposite man. I only fear myself and my competition is with me. I have always been like this," Ravi said.
Ravi has till now featured in a lot of Hindi films like "Tere Naam", "Loot", "Phir Hera Pheri", "Luck", "Welcome To Sajjanpur", "Agent Vinod" and "Dangerous Ishq" among others.
He is current projects in Bollywood are "Mohall Assi", "Tanu Weds Manu 2" and "Zilla Ghaziabad."
