Rajkummar Rao spills among which Bhediya 2 or Stree 3 will hit the theatres first

Rajkummar Rao, riding high on the success of Stree 2, was asked about the sequel order between Bhediya 2 and Stree 2, both directed by Amar Kaushik. Rao had a clear answer despite Varun Dhawan's 2022 film Bhediya in the same genre.

During his conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the actor who played Srikanth initially expressed his uncertainty about the order. However, he later suggested that perhaps Bhediya 2 would be the next release. Rajkummar Rao explained that since Stree 2 has already premiered, it's likely that the audience will witness the sequel to Varun Dhawan's comedy horror film before Stree's third installment hits the big screen.

When questioned about any updates on Stree 3, the actor spilled the beans that director Amar Kaushik indeed has an idea in mind. He added that the filmmaker has kept a basic idea ready for the film. “Banegi, for sure banegi and koshish karenge part 1 and 2 se bhi behtar bane (It will definitely be made and we will try to make it better than Stree part 1 and 2)” Rao said.

Stree 2 features Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana in pivotal roles. While this film brought him immense success, it was Hansal Mehta’s Shahid that garnered him a National Award.

Next up, he's set to appear in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video alongside Triptii Dimri. The drama flick is slated for a theatrical release on October 11, 2024.
