Rahul Roy’s Brother-in-law: ‘Nitin Gupta is dancing on our tragedy’

Actor Rahul Roy is on the road to recovery after he suffered a brain stroke while shooting for his new project titled LAC in Kargil. He is currently undergoing speech therapy and is now in a stable condition.

Previously, the director of the film Nitin Kumar Gupta had shared updates about the actor’s health and had also shared that Rahul may require a stent to prevent future attacks. 

Rahul’s family claims that Nitin Kumar has announced a film titled ‘Stroke’ wherein the actor will be essaying the role of a person who has suffered a stroke in this film. The actor’s family has dismissed any information about this project and also slammed the filmmaker for ‘dancing on their tragedy.’

Rahul’s brother-in-law Romeer Sen informed ETimes that the actor has not given his consent for any such film. "Has Nitin even informed Rahul? No! Rahul is doing a film without him knowing about it!How terrible is that! How on earth is Nitin so confident that Rahul will do the role that he wants? Does Nitin have a script? No! At least we haven't seen one such. If Rahul agrees at a later date, that's a different matter. But an announcement without his consent when he's still in hospital?" he was quoted as saying.

He added, "Nitin is dancing on our tragedy."

Rahul’s sister Priyanka too accused the filmmaker of not answering her phone calls when the actor was in Kargil. “Nitin called me on 26th and prior to that, he was not responding to my calls. This is a very sad, heartbreaking announcement in our trying times that Rahul will act in Nitin's next titled 'Stroke', she said.

A few days ago, Rahul Roy shared a video on his official Instagram handle and informed his fans that he is recovering and will be back soon.
