The highly anticipated web series "Made In Heaven Season 2" has garnered immense appreciation from both its audience and critics. Amid the accolades, the spotlight has been on Episode 8, titled "The Heart Skipped a Beat," featuring Radhika Apte as Pallavi Menke, a Dalit woman. This particular episode has been at the centre of attention due to allegations made by author Yashica Dutt, asserting that her work was utilized without proper consent or acknowledgement.
After a collective response from Zoya Akhtar, refuting the claim and issuing a statement, Radhika Apte has now broken her silence on the matter. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, the actress discussed the controversy raised by Yashica regarding the portrayal of her life in "Made In Heaven 2" without permission or credit. Radhika Apte acknowledged that the concerns addressed in the series cannot be ignored due to their significance.

Apte further emphasized that she strongly feels that regardless of what both parties are discussing and feeling, she is certain that neither the show's creators nor the author desire the positive impact or consequences of this episode to be diminished, even momentarily.
Underlining the importance of focusing on the larger context, Radhika stated, "They both are on the same side when it comes to championing the cause and saying that it is a great thing that an episode about this issue has come on a mainstream platform, and it shouldn’t be cancelled or should be banned. It should only be looked at positively. We are all on the same side in the end."
For the unversed, the episode in question features Apte as a Dalit author who embraces her identity and stands up for her community, with a page on the history of the issue where she discusses her grandmother’s job as a cleaner. After the author claimed that she didn’t get due credit, the makers dismissed the allegations last week with a statement.
