Race 4: Saif Ali Khan to make grand comeback in Ramesh Taurani’s production? No Abbas Mustan

Here is some good news for all fans of the Race franchise. It seems Ramesh Taurani is all set to start work on the movie in 2025. He has liked a script, and the screenplay for the same is being finalized now. Saif Ali Khan will be headlining the fourth movie of the franchise as per an entertainment portal. Saif Ali Khan was loved by the masses and classes in the Race franchise. In the 2008 movie, he played Ranvir Singh. His debonair personality and subtly menacing performance was a stand-out. The movie had made Rs 100 crore plus worldwide and was declared a blockbuster. 

Race is also a huge musical hit. From numbers like Pehli Nazar to Khwab Dekhe, the numbers are still fresh in the minds of people. The second movie came in 2013 where Saif Ali Khan made a return as Ranvir. His sizzling chemistry with Deepika Padukone was the talk of the town. John Abraham came in place of Akshaye Khanna while Jacqueline Fernandez took on a role similar to that of Katrina Kaif. The second movie also scored high on music though people found the twists a bit bland. 

Salman Khan joined the Race franchise leading Race 3. The movie tanked badly. Remo D’Souza stepped in as a director in place of Abbas Mustan. Fans trolled the film left right and centre. Even the ensemble cast failed to register in people’s minds. Now, Ramesh Taurani is planning to get back the OG Saif Ali Khan. Even netizens were demanding Race 4 with the Nawab Of Pataudi. 

The source told the portal, “The actor has agreed in principle and is excited to get into the world of Race again. Ramesh Taurani is aiming to take the film on floors in the first quarter of 2025.” 

Now, the first two movies were directed by Abbas Mustan. The two have not directed a film for a long time. Their last movie was Machine. It seems Ramesh Taurani is looking for a filmmaker who can do justice to the franchise and the script. OG fans will be happy to see the Burmawalla bros back in action though.
