Communications' Raat Gayi Baat Gayi premiered and was screened in the
Competitions category at HBO's New York South Asian International Film
Festival, 2009 on November 2 and won the Best Film Award. Director
Saurabh Shukla and actor Rajat Kapoor were present to receive the
award.
Producer Pritish Nandy
adds 'This affirms our faith in the fact that some of the best films
currently being made in India are by directors and actors who are
bucking the trend. We, as producers, love to back such films. We know
where true excellence lies. RGBG which releases next month is comedy at
its sharpest and finest.'
Raat Gayi Baat Gayi is
an outrageous comedy that starts with a night of heavy drinking and
partying amongst 3 married couples. The morning after dawns with zero
memory, the possibility of a one night stand, a missing mobile number
and one gorgeous woman. Starring Rajat Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Neha
Dhupia, Dalip Tahil, Iravati Harshe Mayadev, Anu Menon, Navnit Nishaan
and Ranvir Shorey, the movie has music by Ankur Tewari, is written by
Rajat Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla who also directs it.
