"Kids are very fond of me.":Shekhar Ravjiani

The handsome Shekhar Ravjiani who will be seen judging Indian Idol Juniors on Sony TV, along with the beautiful singer Shreya Ghoshal and talented Vishal Dadlani, talks about being a judge and difficulty in choosing kids in the audition rounds. Saying a 'no' to kids is the most difficult task for him.

On the same he said, "It is a beautiful thing to interact with the kids. The music is pure when they sing it. As a judge I am learning a lot from the kids. Some kids are just amazing when it comes to singing, very passionate. The kids are very fond of me and the most difficult part is to say a 'No'. My heart breaks when I see them crying. But singing is something where we have to be true to them and tell them where they are go wrong, so that they can improve."

Further he added, "The audition rounds have been amazing so far. We have seen kids who haven't learnt singing and yet they are so perfect when they sing. The kids of this generation have a lot of confidence in themselves, which is really good. When I was at their age I didn't have so much of confidence. It is fun auditioning kids and we are taking care of that ... we make sure they feel comfortable during auditions."

Talking about his association with the co-judges he says, "I have known Vishal Dadlani since years and also I know Shreya Ghoshal well, so there is good bonding between us. It is total enjoyment and madness during the audition rounds" he said.

He is also getting a lot of film offers for acting. On the same he continued, "Yes, I have been getting a lot of film offers for acting but I haven't taken anything as of till now. I want to do songs in various languages. I like challenging myself. I have sung in Marathi, now I am looking forward to singing in Tamil, Bengali and Malayalam. Gujarati will be kept for the last as I am a Gujarati (laughs) myself and it won't be much of a challenge for me."
